Connie, I use acrylic paint on illustration board. Occasionally I throw in some ball point pen, and a colored pencil or two, but mostly good old fashioned paint!

I also grew up outside Chicago (20 years before your time). I’m on the hunt through your work to see what medium you use. Can’t picture a bigger contrast that Vegas and Massachusetts. I ended up in Scotland.

The theme this week @Illustration Friday is “muddy”. Yesterday I got to watch one of the 6 Nations Rugby tournament, and England’s uniforms were white! So today I worked up this quick piece in honor of their formerly white outfits. It’s about 4×8″ and is guache and felt tip pen. Oh, and gel medium.
